Picture it. West Hollywood, October 2, 2021. A beautiful young girl from Florida A & M University is invited to cover Malinda Williams' Rise and Shine

Brunch and celebrity red carpet. Her outlet: the YES! Show. This was the first red carpet attended since the pandemic and it was instant love. Oh how she missed her ex...aka the red carpet. The atmosphere felt like love, success and sisterhood. The venue boasted gorgeous views of Los Angeles. The sun shined bright on our melanin skin, while God gently blew the wind to cool us down. It was perfection.

Shortly afterwards, "Kita the Diva" opens the carpet. Beauties like Vanessa Estelle Williams of 9-1-1 and Candy Man, Newly Wed Niecy Nash, Powerhouse Koshi Mills and Model Slick Woods make their way over to my microphone. And just like that, #blackgirlmagic at the #riseandshinebrunch.
