"Captivating performance; made the audience feel right at home" is how one critic described LaCora's performance. By all means, she should make you feel at home, for theatre is her first love and the foundation of her craft. LaCora always says, "The stage is where I'm most comfortable".  LaCora has performed in numerous productions, including "She Won't Let Go", starring Academy Award nominated Margaret Avery, by acclaimed playwright Patrica Cuffie-Jones.

As a theatre major at Florida A & M University, she's graced the Essential Theatre stage many of times.  She recalled one time, where she booked a role simply by "being" an actress on the FAMU stage:

"During my performance of August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come & Gone, my director was approached by an FSU theatrical director. Based on what he had seen, he mentioned he had a role for me at FSU and wanted to cast me in his upcoming production! Just like that! No audition, no meet and greet, simply my stage presence, talent and word from my director got me the job.  Which led to a commercial produced by the local news channel of Tallahassee. I knew that I was meant to act after this!"

Her theatrical credits include: Before it Hits Home, Joe Turner's Come & Gone, Take a Giant Step, Pieces, The Application, She Won't Let Go and In-a-Me. View production photos of LaCora on stage below.
